Tēnā koutou e hoa mā,
This year’s TEFANZ forum provides our first opportunity for teacher education leaders in our community to meet face-to-face for the first time since 2019. We will meet at the University of Otago College of Education for an afternoon and evening mid-year and in partnership with the Ministry of Education, New Zealand Council of Deans of Education, and Teaching Council | Matatū Aotearoa discuss and plan for teacher education changes in light of Curriculum Refresh.
The shape of the programme is indicated below. We have plenty of time for whole of ITE discussions as well as sector based caucus workshops for networking and planning. The FORUM is an opportunity for leaders in ITE programmes to come together around a specific kaupapa, to network and work together in advance of leading programme change in their own institutions. Normally up to four ITE leaders from each institution would be nominated to attend.
Registration available from 1 April, 2023. Further information before then, email: alex.gunn@otago.ac.nz
