Submission of non-refereed papers
These must be supplied in electronic form (Word attachment) to the conference organisers by 15 July if authors wish them to be included in the non-refereed section of the conference proceedings.
Presentation length.

The Teacher Education Forum of Aotearoa New Zealand (TEFANZ)
Invites entries for the
Sustained Excellence in Teacher Education Award
&
Emerging Teacher Educator Award
TEFANZ is proud to offer two awards for teacher educators. The first, an award for sustained excellence, is designed to provide recognition for significant contribution over time to teacher education. The second award is to recognise the work of an emerging teacher educator.
The awards which consist of a citation and a taonga are open to all teacher educators. The recipients will be announced and presented at an appropriate TEFANZ event (conference or forum).
Nomination and selection criteria.
• Nominations for the TEFANZ Teacher Educator awards are called for annually with nominations closing in June. Any two teacher educators from an institution that is a member of TEFANZ may nominate a teacher educator for an award. Nominations should consist of a written statement from each person making the nomination; a copy of the nominee’s CV and may also include letters of support.
• Nominees must be teacher educators from an institution that is a member of TEFANZ.
• An award committee comprised of the Chair of TEFANZ and two other members of TEFANZ will consider the nominations and decide on recipients of the awards.
Judging criteria.
• Recognition of sustained excellence will be judged on the nominee’s contribution to initial teacher education over time, the level and nature of that contribution and the personal qualities of the nominee.
• An emerging teacher educator award will recognize an early career teacher educator, whose work in initial teacher education is deemed by peers to be noteworthy.
The judges have the right not to make an award, and their decision is final.
Entries must be made on the TEFANZ entry form and sent to:
